Miss Lindiwe Ndebele joined Mcanyi Group as an Auctioneer Unit Manager and a Training Facilitator in 2019. She is a qualified Real Estate Agent and holds several qualifications, including a Higher Certificate in Adult Basic Education and Training from the University of South Africa (UNISA), a Further Diploma in Education Management from the University of Pretoria (UP), a Senior Primary Teachers Diploma from Indumiso College of Education, and a Certificate in Auctioneering Support Services from Mcanyi Academy.

Auctioneer manager responsibilities

a. She is responsible for the overall operation and profitability of the business.

b. Her duties include:

  • Business operations. She handles staffing, budgeting, and all day-to-day business logistics. She ensures the auction house is running smoothly and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Client relations. She is the main point of contact for sellers (consignors) and important buyers. This involves negotiating sale terms, accepting and logging merchandise, and resolving any disputes.
  • Marketing and strategy. She is responsible for attracting both buyers and sellers. This includes creating and approving auction catalogs, developing marketing campaigns, and analyzing past performance to inform future strategy.
  • Staff management and training. She oversees employee training and customer service operations.
  • Inventory and valuation. They must have a strong knowledge of the items being auctioned to vet consignments and manage the inventory of merchandise.

As the Training Coordinator, she’s guiding the learning process.

Training facilitator responsibilities

She guides groups toward a learning outcome by creating a productive and engaging environment.

Session design. She often collaborates with managers or subject matter experts to create lesson plans and design activities that help trainees achieve specific learning goals.

  • Guided learning. She leads interactive sessions and fosters discussion. using various techniques, such as group work and open-ended questions, to encourage participants to learn through self-discovery.
  • Managing group dynamics. She manages the group’s emotional climate and dynamics, thereby encouraging participation from all members, managing disruptive behavior effectively, and resolving conflicts promptly.
  • Performance monitoring. She monitors the group’s progress and ensures that training stays on track with the planned agenda and timeline.
  • Evaluation and feedback. She assesses how well trainees have understood the material and gathers feedback to improve future sessions. This helps ensure the training is effective and meets business needs.
